Careforwater.org
At Careforwater.org we bust the myth of abundance of clean water. We thereby raise the value perception of available, clean, fresh and drinkable water. But we do not only explain or complain. We actively seek for solutions together with people, governments and companies across the globe and share them with the world, as we have a strong believe in innovation and technological progress to sustainably solve water scarcity.
Careforwater was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reading the UN Water Development Report and the WEF Global Risk Report, I was surprised about the scale and urgency of the water crisis. The COVID-19 crisis and the consequential lockdown periods allowed us to think about this next crisis, and how to prepare better.
About Bert Depiere
Originally an engineer in ICT and holding an MBA, Bert developed a career in water serving in different mostly product related roles for the leading global brand GROHE. He has been a driving force in the GROHE organisation developing succesful product and service innovations. More recently he developed and brought to market as director digital innovations GROHE Sense Guard, a product geared towards reducing water leaks in residential buildings. The product was the first IoT device and service offering GROHE launched, receiving many design and innovation awards across the globe. Bert is focusing his further career on enabling sustainable, healthy & comfortable living through innovation with a focus on sustainable water.
